Nature-based solutions are about harnessing nature to help us deliver a range of outcomes.

The Improvement Service (IS) has developed an Elected Members Briefing Series to help elected members keep pace with key issues affecting local government.

This briefing note sets out key features and principles for nature-based solutions and their contribution to a number of key Local Government priorities, such as climate change, COVID-19 recovery, inclusive economic growth, communities and public health.
